Ratcliffe’s takeover of Man Utd was rejected

The Manchester United takeover process has been dismissed by Greenpeace as a “dirty derby” between the two leaders.

British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is leading one bid for a full takeover, while Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani is leading the other bid. Both groups are in talks with Red Devils representatives, with Ratcliffe flying to Manchester on Friday.

Lineker to make TV return

Gary Lineker returns to television on Friday night, but it won’t be his starring role on the BBC.

The much-loved Match of the Day anchor will return to hosting duties this weekend after being taken off the air by the government-funded broadcaster. Lineker was temporarily suspended by the BBC in light of social media posts criticizing the government’s illegal migration law.

Potter responds to Champions League

Graham Potter is still convinced Chelsea can win the “f******” Champions League after his team took on Real Madrid.

Chelsea will play the holders in the quarter-finals after Friday’s draw. If the Blues beat Real, they will face either Manchester City or Bayern Munich in the last four. Still, Potter insists he’s “excited” by the challenge after his X-rated statement the night before.

Potter raised his eyebrows at an event on Thursday when he told fans they will “try to win the f****** Champions League”. Despite the draw, he remains determined to become the first Englishman to win the European Cup since Joe Fagan with Liverpool in 1984.
