Silver service! The Crown recreates Kate Middleton as a waitress as a student at St. Andrews University

The Crown impersonated the Princess of Wales’ waitress as a student at St Andrews University.

The latest season of the popular Netflix series, currently filming in Scotland, will focus on the early days of the romance between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Last night, actress Meg Bellamy, 19, was pictured filming scenes for the upcoming season at a pizza restaurant.

Dressed in a dark red shirt and black vest, Meg wore a name tag with Kate written on the front.

As part of the princess’s uniform, the actress was seen with her long brown hair tied back in a ponytail and also wore minimal makeup for the scene.

The photos show Meg appearing to serve customers sitting in the window of the Italian restaurant.

During the scene, someone outside the restaurant catches Meg’s attention and she gives them a shy wave.

Other images show the actress looking thoughtfully out the window before taking another customer order.

In 2019, the Princess of Wales talked about her experience as a waitress in the Christmas TV special A Berry Royal Christmas.

During one segment, Mary prepared a non-alcoholic cocktail, which she then passed to Kate to pass on to the guests.

Kate then said to the host, “Reminds me of my college days when I was a bit of a waitress.”

When Mary asked if she was good at her job, Kate answered honestly.

She laughed and replied, “No, I was terrible!”

Yesterday, Meg also filmed a scene with an actor who appears to be playing one of Kate’s former college flames.

Before the Prince and Princess of Wales became an item, Kate was believed to be dating fourth-year law student Rupert Finch.

Photos taken on set show Meg walking hand in hand with another man as Ed McVey – who has been cast as Prince William – walks by.

Ed looked like young Prince William this afternoon, dressed in a red bomber jacket, navy blue jumper and jeans.

Meanwhile, Meg donned a tweed twin set with a forest green jacket and brown boots.

It seems that the final and sixth series of The Crown will focus on the blossoming love story between William and Kate.

Meg’s rise will be lightning fast after she was plucked from obscurity to play the Princess of Wales when she did a self-taped audition with the show’s creators after seeing the role on social media.

Announcing the casting on Instagram last September, she wrote, “Pinch me please… So excited to announce I will be playing Kate Middleton in Series 6 of Netflix’s The Crown.

“It’s such an honor to be part of the most incredible cast and crew and I will strive to do Kate justice.”

And it looks like the actress will be drawing on her own life experience for the role, with some striking similarities between her and the royal family.

Meg, both Home Counties girls, grew up just 22 miles away from Kate’s childhood home in Berkshire.

At school, it seems that both the Princess of Wales and the actress who played her were model students. They all made a strong impression on their teachers as friendly and humble personalities with an eagerness to learn, natural leadership skills and a passion for theatre.

It’s been a busy few days of filming for the show’s cast and crew, with Ed McVey seen jogging and eating chips at St Andrews docks, while filming for the sixth series of The Crown wrapped up in the college town earlier this week. continued.

During filming yesterday, Ed was spotted digging into a box of crisps while chatting with other members of the film crew between takes, a nod to the Prince of Wales’s student favorite takeaway.

Prince William, 40, and Kate Middleton, 41, were “regulars” at the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, in the coastal town of Anstruther, near Fife, while students attended St. 2021 20 years ago.

The Prince and Princess of Wales returned to their favorite restaurant and treated themselves to a meal and ice cream, which they ate on a bench by the pier, away from prying eyes.
